Youth Leadership Development and Social Advocacy Award

A Rationale

Youth Leadership Development and Social Advocacy Award is presented at the graduation ceremonies of partnering universities that moulds character and transforms young people from degenerates into responsible global citizens.

Young people exhibit defiant behaviours and social vices upon entrance into our partnering Universities. In the cause of their study, some of whom are remorseful having been disciplined and corrected. At their exit after four or five or more years of study, they are transformed by the University culture, repentant of bad behaviour and made advocates of acceptable norms and compliance. These all go unnoticed. This award is for them. Secondly, there are students with exceptional leadership qualities and advocates of positive social change. These too are awarded.

Awadee

A graduating student of the University who has recovered from, and/or repented of, and campaigns against deviant behaviours such as illicit sex, drug abuse and addiction, a secret cult, examination malpractice, thuggery and other criminal tendencies. One who has maintained consistency of recovery/repentance for at least one whole academic session. A graduation student that has shown exceptional leadership qualities and advocates such shall be eligible for this award.

At any public presentation of this award remains “Youth Leadership Development and Social Advocacy.”

Partnering Universities

Christian education is the only answer to the education of the full man. All great educators agree that if education does what it should do, it develops the physical, mental and spiritual powers of the student.

So far, we have an understanding with some universities that share in these values of ours, namely: Babcock and Clifford Universities. These awards have been running for the last couple of years.

Expectations

1. Recognize and commend appropriate standards of behaviour  amongst the youth of Africa.

2. Encourage others who yet struggle to emulate good courage.

3. Motivate University students to maintain positive, productive character in their preparation to serve humanity after their university education.
